Avalw Shield connects to absolutely no servers. There is no backend, no API, no cloud service.
A hacker would need a server to receive data — since our app physically cannot connect to the internet, there is nowhere for stolen data to go.
Avalw Shield never saves, stores, or creates any photos or images from your camera. The only data used is a simple integer: how many faces are present.
Camera data is processed and immediately discarded. Nothing is kept in memory between checks. Apple's built-in memory management guarantees no camera data lingers in RAM.
Avalw Shield windows are protected against screen recording and screenshots. Third-party recording software cannot see our app content.
Take a screenshot (Cmd+Shift+3). Avalw Shield will appear as a blank area — this proves no other app can secretly record what's on your screen.
Unlike video call apps, the camera feed is never shown on screen. The green camera LED (hardware-controlled, impossible to disable) confirms when the camera is active.
